The first issue of the film magazine The Spectator for 1953 includes six independent short stories, united by one theme – love in the city – and shot by directors – classics of Italian cinema: Michelangelo Antonioni, Federico Fellini, Alberto Lattuada, Carlo Lizani, Dino Risi, Francesco Maselli and Cesare Zavattini. The film almanac depicted a picture of people’s love in a big city in the middle of the twentieth century. Two million of the people living there are women with different fates, each of whom lives, works and loves in their own way and with different degrees of luck. : R. Josa, R. Carta, E. Pelliccia, D.
