The CPRF faction proposed to change the Labor Code and reduce the working week to 30 hours. From the point of view of the working week, obviously, there should be time to gain additional knowledge, to improve the level of education. <...> The most important problem is the possibility of raising children. Include your work in education. Therefore, reducing the number of hours during the working day will allow us to realize these tasks, Afonin said. The MP added that over time, the positive effect of reducing the working day will be very noticeable. The CPRF initiative to reduce the number of working hours is not the only one. In February, the deputy from LDPR Yaroslav Nilov said that the government sent a bill to reduce the working week by one hour on the eve of the weekend. Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Svetlana Bessarab pointed out that in Russia for some categories of workers in the coming years may introduce a 36-hour working week.
