Electronic voting system stopped working in Tomsk city due to sanctions
Due to sanctions against Russia, deputies of the Tomsk City Duma were forced to abandon electronic voting. The foreign system that was used for voting has broken down, and it is currently impossible to fix it. Members now use cards to vote. “Unfortunately, due to the sanctions, we are not able to fix the system, as the necessary materials are not available. We cannot make boards and sew them, because this is also subject to sanctions. Our equipment is not produced in a friendly country, Sergey Sechenov said. Therefore, members of the counting commission count votes manually before MPs make a decision.
