An inspection of the pipeline in Yakutia did not reveal an oil leak at the site of the alleged breakthrough, the press service of the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported. A possible incident was reported on February 28.
Specialists from the regional Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry went to the scene of the alleged incident in the Mirny district. The situation was taken under control by the head of the Yakut department Evgeny Perfilev. “Information on a possible breakthrough of the oil pipeline in the Mirny district was checked, presumably on the bypass road to the International mine.” According to the results of the verification of leakage in the networks of subsoil users was not found, – stated in the message. Also, experts organized interaction in the duty station of the main oil pipeline "Vostoknefteproekt". Information about the leak was also not confirmed.
