Procedural inspection under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on kidnapping and substitution of a child began by employees of the SU IC in the Republic of Sakha after a woman said on air of one of the federal TV channels that her child was replaced in the Yakut maternity drome, the press service of the department reported.
According to the investigation, in the program of the federal channel, the woman said that 16 years she gave birth to a healthy baby in one of the maternity hospitals of Yakutsk, but the obstetrician replaced the newborn with another child with pathologies incompatible with life. A healthy child was kidnapped by a doctor. "According to this fact, the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are conducting a procedural check under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (kidnapping a person) and Article 153 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (substitution of a child)," the press service said. The progress of the inspection will be reported to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin.
