Convicted for bribes, the former Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev withdrew his petition to the court to remove the conviction, told RIA Novosti in court.
The request of the ex-minister to remove the conviction was to consider on Monday the Nikulinsky district court of Moscow. "The court received a petition from the lawyer, filed in coordination with Ulyukayev, to withdraw the petition to remove the criminal record," the court said. Ulyukayev’s lawyer confirmed to TASS that his client decided to withdraw the petition, but did not specify the reason for such a decision. The former minister was convicted of bribery for eight years. He was released on parole in May 2022. At the end of February, he sent a petition to the court to remove the conviction.
