The founder of the service "Kredchek" Elman Mehdiyev reminded in an interview with "Prime" that a request to the Bureau of credit histories (BKI) can make anyone who has received consent from the subject - credit institution, insurance company, mobile operator or even employer. The fact is that now more and more information has been introduced into credit histories, and, as a result, the scope of their application is expanding. After all, in the credit history you can find information about court decisions on debts for alimony, housing and communal services, mobile or city communications, information about bankruptcy and much more. Reports, in turn, are needed by organizations to screen employees or candidates when hiring. “The legality of access to credit history is determined by the existence of consent to the right to obtain it. Therefore, when signing papers and giving consent, be vigilant and always decide how much your credit history is needed, figuratively speaking, for a hotel in which you will spend only one night. The founder of the service "Kredchek" warned that recently increased the number of attempts of scammers to check the credit history of an individual, gaining access to an account on the portal of public services. “This is done by them in order to implement the scenario of a ‘call from the authorities’ and a ‘safe account’ when, in order to gain trust and manage behavior, a person is informed that he has such-and-such loans in such-and-such banks and his accounts are under threat and it is necessary to transfer them to a ‘safe account’,” Mehdiyev said. The expert reminded that it is very easy to restrict access to your credit history. For this, you simply do not need to give consent to receive it. It is also easy to verify who has been interested in your personal data by requesting a report to the BCI. “If you see uninvited interested parties, complain to the Bank of Russia, which should fine the violator and initiate an inspection,” Mehdiyev said. Earlier it was reported that Muscovites began to receive messages from the so-called “employees of Rosreestr” with a request to pay a certain “state duty”.
