📝 Summary

About 80 percent of taxi drivers in the Moscow region have passed the necessary certification to continue work from March 1. This was reported on the air of Radio Russia by Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Ilya Zotov.

Since March, the mandatory certification of taxi drivers comes into force, if it is not passed, then the driver will be disconnected from the order system until the moment of successful testing. The expert believes that traffic collapse on the roads because of this will not occur. There will be no difficulties on March 1st. About 80,000 drivers were certified. This is about 80% of the daily number of drivers working on the line in Moscow. Moreover, almost all drivers passed the tests. Only about 20 percent failed on the first try, but there's an option to rerun that whole system. Moreover, it does not take a huge amount of time. In just three days, taking into account online, many drivers will be certified and will work on the line, that is, about 110,000 drivers plan to pass it by March 1, Zotov said. He added that the mandatory certification will not affect the price of the trip, since the driver does not bear any material costs when passing the test.
