In March 2025, pensioners who celebrated their 80th anniversary in February will increase their pension. According to associate professor of the Financial University under the government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin, the increase will be more than 10 thousand rubles. He told this to the Russian newspaper.
According to the expert, firstly, a fixed payment will be increased to 8907.7 rubles. Secondly, all pensioners who have reached the age of 80 are entitled to a compensation payment of 1,314 rubles. Thus, an additional pensioner will receive 10 221.7 rubles. Balynin also noted that from December 2024 to March 2025, the size of the insurance pension for this category of citizens increased by 14 thousand rubles. From April 1, social pensions will be indexed by 14.75%. According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov, such a measure will increase the income of 4.2 million Russians.
