Participants of the Great Patriotic War living in the Primorsky Krai will receive the title of "Honorary Citizen" with a one-time payment of 70,000 rubles by May 9. This was announced by the first vice-governor of the region, Vera Shcherbina.
According to the official, veterans will be assigned a monthly payment of 15,000 rubles. "Also, by the order of the Governor of Primorsky Krai, all participants of the Great Patriotic War will be provided with a one-time monetary payment of 80,000 rubles," Shcherbina stated on OTV channel. Throughout the year, various projects and events aimed at patriotic education of youth and popularizing the feats of compatriots are planned to be implemented in the region. A significant portion of these activities is related to the 80th anniversary of Victory. It is planned to reach over 1 million residents of the region.
