In Moscow detained a citizen of the Russian Federation and a citizen of Ukraine. They were recruited in Telegram by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MOU). “A terrorist act planned by the Ukrainian special services against Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea was prevented,” the DOS said. According to Interfax, the detainees confessed and said they were recruited in the middle of last year. In December, they took away an explosive device in a cache and planned to make an attempt on Metropolitan Tikhon when he would be in the capital. After the murder of the metropolitan, the men wanted to leave Russia on fake passports from the Ukrainian special services. A criminal case was opened against the defendants on preparation for a terrorist attack and illegal trafficking in explosive devices. They're under arrest.
