The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has told the Israeli army that Hamas has handed him over to the staff of the last of six hostages to be released on February 22.
Hisham al-Sayed (an Arab Bedouin from Israel who has been in the Palestinian enclave since 2015) is now on his way to the IDF forces in the Gaza Strip, the army press service said. “According to information provided to the ICRC, another hostage was handed over to them and they are now heading to the IDF forces and the General Security Service in the Gaza Strip,” the statement said. Hamas handed over three Israeli hostages to the Red Cross in the Nusayrat camp. Among them were Omer Shem Tov, Elia Cohen and Omer Venkert. Hours earlier, Tal Shoham and Avera Mengistu, who had been in Gaza since 2014, were released.
