In 2024, almost 1.7 million tourists visited Udmurtia

In 2024, Udmurtia was visited by almost 1.7 million tourists. This was reported by the press service of the head and government of the republic. The guests of the region include both travelers who stayed in the republic for at least one night, and tourists who visited one-day tours and excursions without overnight stays. The number of guests who came from other regions of Russia or from abroad with overnight stays in classified hotels, according to Rosstat - 790 thousand people. On average, tourists stayed in Udmurtia 2.2 days. The volume of services of the tourist business of Udmurtia in 2024 amounted to 5.7 billion rubles. This is 21% more than in 2023, when the volume of tourism services amounted to 4.7 billion rubles. More than 2.5 thousand entrepreneurs work in the tourism sector, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Natalia Toykina. Most often last year, tourists came to Udmurtia from Moscow (22%), Tatarstan (16%) and the Moscow region (8%). A comparable number of guests come from St. Petersburg (7%). Interest in tourist trips remains among residents of the Perm Territory. In a dozen regions that give a stable tourist flow to Udmurtia, there were Sverdlovsk region, Bashkortostan, Krasnodar Territory, Nizhny Novgorod and Kirov regions. The most visited cities were Izhevsk, Votkinsk and Sarapul, the most visited areas are Zavyalovsky, Sharkansky, Igrinsky and Sarapulsky.
