It is noted that the Kirov district court of Yekaterinburg, having considered the petition of the investigation, chose against Bannikov a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of two months - until April 20, 2025. According to the investigation, Bannikov is accused of committing a crime under part 3 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“receiving a bribe by an official through an intermediary in the form of money, in a significant amount”). The defendant was sent under arrest, as he can obstruct the investigation of a criminal case, exert pressure on subordinates, destroy or hide evidence. According to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Bannikov is accused of taking a bribe for inaction. Earlier media reported that in Yekaterinburg detained the head of the police Department No2 Alexander Bannikov for receiving a bribe.
