In Komi defined the song-hymn dedicated to the Year of Heroes

“It is particularly thrilling that the anthem song will be played in Komi, which underlines the importance and significance of our original culture and the amazing beauty of our native language. I wholeheartedly thank the authors of each work sent to the organizers for their sincere patriotism, selfless love for their native land and boundless respect for the heroes of Komi!, commented Gulnara Idrisova, Minister of Culture and Archival Affairs of the Komi Republic. In total, the organizers received 25 songs from Syktyvkar, Sosnogorsk, Syktyvdinsky, Kortkerossky, Ust-Vymsky, Sysolsky, Koygorod, Ust-Kulomsky, Udorsky, Troitsk-Pechora, Priluzsky, Izhemsky districts. Among the contestants are composers known in the region: Mikhail Naumov, Mark Novoselov, Vasily Gushchin, Zakhar Petrushin, Alexei Gen, Irina Chuviurova, Alexei Zhilin, Petr Leonenko, Taisia Chaplygina, etc. Poems for the musical competitive material were written by such well-known poets in Komi as Alyona Shomysova, Pavel Blume, Olga Rogozhnikova and others. The main themes of the songs-hymns were stories about the Great Patriotic War, as well as stories about the heroes of labor, whose contribution at all times helped to build a strong and unique Republic of Komi. The jury included: Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Titarenko; Honored Workers of the Republic of Komi Vasily Gushchin and Olga Rocheva; member of the Union of Composers of Russia Stanislav Vasilyev and Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Komi Elena Afanasyeva.
