📝 Summary

Three residents of Syktyvdinsky district are replaced by imprisonment

Representatives of the prosecutor’s office of the Syktyvdinsky district took part in three court hearings to replace convicted persons with mandatory work for real deprivation of liberty. Thus, at the request of the penitentiary inspectorate, once the Syktyvdinsky District Court and twice the magistrate of the Zelenets judicial precinct of the Syktyvdinsky District sent residents of Zelenets, Pazhga and Yb who did not serve their sentence to places of deprivation of liberty. In all cases, the reasons for the adoption of such decisions by the courts were the reluctance of convicted persons to serve their sentences in the form of performing socially useful works. All three men ignored the obligation to work because of alcohol abuse, despite the fact that they always had work for them (cleaning snow, cleaning the territory of the administration of rural settlements) and they had to serve such a sentence no more than 2 hours a day. By the decision of the court, unserved sentences in the form of compulsory labor were replaced by imprisonment.
