Employees of the NCB Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation deported from Egypt a Russian citizen accused of kidnapping and extortion. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Media with reference to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.
According to the investigation, in November 2023 in Khasavyurt, the attacker, together with an accomplice, kidnapped the director of one of the commercial organizations, threatening him with firearms. The criminals beat the abducted man and demanded a ransom for his release. As a result, the kidnappers, having received more than 30 million rubles, fled, the businessman was released. Later, the accomplice of the accused was detained and convicted. The second suspect managed to leave the territory of the Russian Federation. At the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Dagestan, in September 2024, the man was put on the international wanted list. In 2025, Egyptian law enforcement agencies received information through Interpol about the location of the wanted man in Cairo. He came here with forged documents. The attacker was arrested.
