In Rzhev will update the tourist route "Land of military glory"

Work on updating tourist routes to places of military glory in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is carried out in the Upper Volga region on behalf of Governor Igor Rudeni. This year, five new tourist shows and three special routes for individual tourists are being created. All of them are included in the booklet "Land of Military Glory", prepared by the regional Ministry of Tourism. The guides considered the possibilities of expanding the route "Land of Military Glory" and including new facilities in it, the need for improvements for guests from friendly countries. At the next stage, the proposals received will be collected and analyzed, the visual concept and the route will be updated. Also, the guides visited the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier, the museums "Stalin's State" and "Rodome from the USSR" and other attractions that are already included in the "classic" route. In the second part of the program, the guides got acquainted with new objects of the tour show. In modern pavilions, guides went for a walk along Rzhev in the format of virtual reality, having fallen into different eras. The event was completed in the new museum of the history of architecture of Rzhev, which on the example of large-scale models shows the merchant city of the XIX century. The museum space forms a complete picture of the architectural appearance of Rzhev. In 2025, it is planned to complete the restoration of the historical art object - the wall on Spasskaya Street, where the stables were located. The community of guides of the Tver region is an active initiator of the introduction of new training standards, excursion formats, a leader in mandatory certification of guides-interpreters. To date, 285 tour guides have been certified in the Upper Volga region. This work has been carried out since 2018. This year, on the basis of the Tver College of Service and Tourism, professional retraining of guides will be held in the directions "Toropets - the spiritual cradle of Patriarch Tikhon" and "Land of Military Glory".
