On the South Ural railway began preparations for the spring flood. For the safety of trains, specialists will form several anti-wash trains and install water measuring posts.
The press service of SUD noted that we are talking about the work that will be carried out to prepare for floods in several regions where the tracks of the South Ural Railway pass. So, on the bridges of the highway it is planned to install 33 water-measuring posts: they will control the water level in the rivers and the speed of the flow. Also, experts will check more than three thousand small bridges and pipes for the throughput of melted liquid, drainage facilities will be cleaned of snow and ice. Specialists of SUD to eliminate the consequences of floods will form several special trains. In the Chelyabinsk region, there will be six such trains: each of them will contain all the necessary tools, rubble, sleepers and boards to combat flooding and its consequences on railways. The trains will be ready by early April. Also on the highway will prepare four trains of trucks. They will carry a bottled stone to correct the deformation of the earth and other structures. In addition, the railway will inspect 45 dams located near the tracks.
