📝 Summary

On the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland Day in the Kursk region, a law came into force that introduces new regional payments, as well as increasing measures to support veterans of the Great Patriotic War, said acting regional governor Alexander Khinshtein.

Now participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War each month will receive 20 thousand rubles (previously these payments were accrued once a year), people awarded with the sign “Resident of besieged Leningrad”, “Resident of besieged Sevastopol”, “Resident of besieged Stalingrad”, former minor prisoners of concentration camps and home front workers – 3 thousand rubles (previously the amount of payment to rear workers was 1 thousand rubles, other categories did not receive any material assistance). Widows and widowers of war veterans once a year will receive 10 thousand rubles (previously it was 4 thousand), children of war – 7 thousand rubles (previously 3 351). The first payments to the front-line troops will be in double size – starting from January this year. “To be clear, these funds are our additional regional support measure, which does not exclude or cancel all existing payments to our heroes,” Khinstein wrote on his Telegram channel. In addition, for forerunners in the Kursk region it was decided to fix cars on call so that they could go where they need to go.
