In the Tver region, the project "Heroes of our time" about the participants of the SVO is being implemented

The project is aimed at preserving historical memory, patriotic education of the younger generation. The Governor Igor Rudenya instructed to pay special attention to these areas when approving the plan of events for celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Tver region. Today, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the victors’ generation continue the fight against Nazism at the forefront of special military operations. And I hope that our young people, using the example of what happened then and what is happening today, will grow up to be patriots, worthy people, citizens of their country, said Igor Rudenya. Each episode of Heroes of Our Time is the voice of a mother or father who tells how they raised their Hero. These are stories from childhood, the first school victories and hobbies of ordinary boys who became real patriots and gave their lives for the Motherland. The first interview of the project is dedicated to Private Oleg Rogov. About him tells his closest person – mother Valentina Grigorievna. She worked on the local farm as a milkmaid, after the death of her husband alone raised a son and daughter. Oleg was born in the village of Emmauss, Kalinin district in 1986, studied at Emmaus High School. “He studied well, of course. I went to the library and read a lot. I loved animals, shared Valentina Grigorievna. After graduating from school, Oleg entered the Tver Cooperative College, then studied at the Tver branch of the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI). After the institute, Oleg was called to serve in the inner howl. In 2024, he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and as a private went to the SVO zone. On June 5, Oleg died heroically in the Kherson direction while performing a combat mission as part of an intelligence company. Awarded the Order of Courage posthumously. From the first days of his life, he said, ‘Mom, I have to go. Who, if we do not go to defend our country? And I always said, "Mom, I'll never let you down." I am proud of my son, said Valentina Grigorievna. On September 24, 2024, a memorial plaque in memory of Oleg Rogov was solemnly opened at the Emmaus School.
