In Udmurtia, seven kindergartens have been closed due to acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). This was reported by the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor Department in the republic. From February 17 to 24, the number of cases in Udmurtia reached 16,507 people, which is 4% higher than the previous week. Half of them are children under 14 years old. The highest incidence rates are recorded in the Zavyalovsky, Malopurginsky, Baleysky districts, as well as in Izhevsk and Mozha. The educational process is partially suspended in 100 classes of 46 general education institutions and in 59 groups of 48 kindergartens. Seven preschool educational institutions in the Baleysky, Igrinsky, Glazovsky, Kiyasovsky, and Sarapulsky districts are completely closed, as well as three schools in the Baleysky, Sarapulsky, and Igrinsky districts. Last week, 423 people were infected with the flu.
