Mishustin noted that this visit will give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation. He said that joint projects in telecommunications, information technologies, food industry, mining and processing of minerals will be worked out. “Despite the illegitimate sanctions against Russia and Myanmar, our trade and economic cooperation is successfully developing, mutual trade is growing, there are good opportunities for increasing our cooperation in the energy sector, in the peaceful atom, in transport infrastructure, in agriculture,” he said. The Prime Minister of Myanmar has already laid flowers at the grave of an unknown soldier in the Alexander Garden, and also met with the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. He is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The parties are expected to discuss prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as topical international issues. As a result, it is planned to sign a number of documents.
