Ministry of Economic Development: inflation in Russia may be at the level of 7-8%

It is too early to give specific numbers," Reshetnikov noted, commenting on the forecast of the Bank of Russia. He added that there is a noticeable shift in consumer preferences. "On the other hand, we need to expand the supply, and we are in constant dialogue with the Ministry of Agriculture," he said. On February 15, the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, stated that the pace of price growth in Russia has slightly decreased, but it is too early to talk about a turning point in the inflation trend. The year 2025 started with very high price growth rates. Nabiullina noted that annual inflation will have a "long braking path." According to her, overall, prices will rise by 7-8% this year.
