Mongolian activists congratulate Russians on Defender of the Fatherland Day

The congratulation was sounded during the laying of flowers at the main Mongolian memorial Zaisan Tolgoi, which is dedicated to the Soviet and Mongolian soldiers who fell in the battles of Khalkhin Gol in 1939. The memorial was opened in January 2025 after restoration, initiated and sponsored by the leadership of the Leningrad region. Last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a reception on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of Russian-Mongolian forces at Khalkhin Gol and gave a toast for further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
