The head of the Russian state emphasized that Zelensky is avoiding negotiations, as starting them would eventually require Ukraine to lift martial law and immediately hold elections. "And here is where the current head of the [Kiev] regime has problems, because it doesn't really matter how many percent he has - four or whatever. What matters is this: his rating, according to our data, which are objective, is exactly half of that of his closest political potential rival - Mr. Zaluzhny, the former commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was exiled to London," said the President of the Russian Federation. Taking into account the possible support Zaluzhny could receive from other Ukrainian political figures, including former prime ministers and presidents, Putin emphasized that Zelensky has "absolutely no chance" of winning the elections, "they are zero."
