Reporting should become electronic

The proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to reduce the number of documents when drawing up protocols for drunk motorists is a fight against excessive papermaking, which in the future should be canceled altogether, says autoexpert, member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Morzharetto. As the expert noted on the air of Vesti FM, this takes not only several tons of papers per year, but also spends a large amount of time in drafting the protocol.

“It is proposed to reduce the number of papers to two. Just make notes that the driver is removed from driving, which he signed and, accordingly, wrote that he was drunk and agrees with everything. Of course, the number of papers should be reduced. Moreover, I can say that in the future I see a complete rejection of papers.” According to Morzharetto, in this case, the DPS employee’s tablet should have a template where he enters the driver’s data or scans the QR code with the data. “A few columns follow explaining what happened. Then the document goes to the database. Everything takes very little time. To date, the entire process of papermaking takes a lot of effort and time, the expert added.
