📝 Summary

A young man from China managed to survive in the mountains in the northwest of China, eating toothpaste and snow for ten days. This was reported by the South China Morning Post.

On February 8, 18-year-old Sun Liang went on a solo trip to the Qinling Mountains. Two days later, all the electronic devices were destroyed. At some point, the Chinese realized they were lost. In search of the return road, Sun Liang fell unsuccessfully, breaking his right arm. Fleeing from the strong wind, the young man built a bed of dry straw and leaves near the boulder. Rescuers found him on February 17. When he faced food shortages, Sun Liang was able to survive thanks to river water, melted snow and even toothpaste. More than 50 tourists have died or gone missing on the route used by the Chinese in the past 20 years. The rescue operation cost Sun Liang's family 80,000 yuan. More than 30 people participated.
