According to the Federation, Menshikova permanently led the St. Petersburg Academy of figure skating since 1993, for several years she was Vice-President of the FFKKR. The Russian Figure Skating Federation expresses its deep condolences to the relatives, friends and colleagues of Menshikova Tatiana Anatolyevna. The bright memory of a beautiful man, a sensitive leader will remain in our hearts, the federation said in a statement. Menshikova was closely associated with figure skating all her life, in different years Olympic champions Anton Sikharulidze, Maxim Trankov, Fedor Klimov and Ksenia Stolbova, as well as many other major athletes, trained at her Academy. In early February, Russian figure skater, Honored Master of Sports of Russia, Olympic champion Anton Sikharulidze was elected to the post of head of the Figure Skating Federation.
