Age restrictions for users of car sharing proposed to introduce in Russia State Duma Deputy Yaroslav Nilov, it became known on Tuesday, March 4.
The head of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs believes that rental cars should be available to drivers over 21 years old. In addition, deputy from the LDPR faction Nilov believes that car sharing machines should be equipped with alcohol locks that will not allow people to drive in a state of intoxication, and limit the speed of rental vehicles to 120 kilometers per hour. We are also talking about the requirements for the minimum driver experience, which should be at least one and a half years, and the introduction of the remote engine lock function. It is noted that these proposals, set out in an appeal to the head of the Ministry of Transport of Russia Roman Starovoit, should increase the safety of car sharing. Earlier, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Alexander Belsky took the initiative to automatically limit the speed of car sharing cars.
