The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov has developed a bill on mandatory payments to employees using personal technical means at work.
“Employers will be obliged to specify in the employment contract the amount and procedure for compensation of expenses of the employee when using his personal equipment, if it is required to perform official duties,” TASS reports with reference to the explanatory note to the bill. Now, according to Nilov, some employees spend additional funds on the Internet, depreciation of the device and the purchase of licenses or software. “The lack of a clear system of compensation for such costs creates an additional financial burden for employees,” the deputy continues. In conclusion, Nilov notes that his proposal is aimed at ensuring a fair approach to cost recovery and harmonization of labor legislation. Earlier, the deputy also appealed to the head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko and proposed to give the employee a choice - to go to work or work remotely. Moreover, for women with children, he suggested that the same approach should be taken. If a person has the opportunity to work remotely, then, according to the logic of the deputy, he needs to be given a similar choice.
