Kamchatka volcano Nameless for a month squeezes a viscous lava block, reported in the Telegram channel Super volcanology.
Information scientists received thanks to the flyover of the volcano satellite Landsat-8, which occurred on the night of February 22. Specialists processed the information obtained from the satellite. âIn the infrared spectral range, it is clearly visible that the hottest area is located on the eastern part of the dome of the volcano,â the volcanologists noted. The Nameless volcano, located 40 km from the village of Keys of the Ust-Kamchatsky district, woke up on February 13. Then scientists recorded 118 earthquakes per day. They believe that the volcano is preparing for an eruption. In this case, the emission of ash can reach a height of 15 km above sea level. The last time Nameless erupted was in July 2024.
