The Government of the Khabarovsk Territory and Rosfinmonitoring signed a cooperation agreement

During the meeting, Yuri Chikhanchin noted the importance of interdepartmental cooperation to minimize the risks of money laundering at the regional level and ensure targeted and effective spending of budget funds. “It is only through joint efforts that we will be able to solve a whole range of tasks and prevent the diversion of capital into shadow circulation. The Interdepartmental Working Group on Combating Illegal Financial Transactions in the Far Eastern Federal District operates on a permanent basis. National projects, the sphere of state defense order, system-forming and strategic enterprises were put on financial monitoring, the director of Rosfinmonitoring noted. In turn, Dmitry Demeshin thanked the head of Rosfinmonitoring for the meeting and expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation with the relevant financial intelligence units of Russia. Our common task is to exclude any possibility of committing in the Khabarovsk Territory offenses related to the legalization of criminal proceeds. The agreement with the Federal Financial Monitoring Service will make this work more effective, said Dmitry Demeshin. In conclusion, the parties stressed the importance of joint work for the prevention, suppression and detection of offenses in the anti-money laundering sphere, including in the control of budgetary funds.
