He added that US President Donald Trump and the leader of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, can only sign the document on Friday, February 28. “As for the deal itself, it is fully fixed on paper and approved by the Ukrainian government,” Bessent told Fox Business. According to the head of the US Treasury, the document spells out all the controversial issues related to the extraction and transportation of rare earth minerals, oil and gas. It also refers to the development of infrastructure in Ukraine. Earlier, Ukrainian media published the full text of the agreement between Kiev and Washington on natural resources, which may be signed on February 28. The agreement consists of ten clauses and provides for the creation of an investment fund for post-conflict reconstruction of Ukraine. The deal on resources will be a key element in building a system of economic security and establishing a lasting peace.
