📝 Summary

Christmas and Easter continue to be the most favorite holidays among Ukrainian citizens (70% and 69%), while Victory Day and Labor Day are the least popular.

Such conclusions were made according to the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS). Analysts also recorded a decrease in support for holidays related to the Soviet heritage. Thus, the popularity of Victory Day in Ukraine decreased from 30% in 2021 to 11% in 2024 and 12% in 2025, RIA Novosti reports. As for Labor Day (1 May), its rating fell from 12% in 2021 to only 5% in 2025. Earlier it became known that the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, canceled the Day of the Rocket Forces of Artillery a day before its celebration. As reported in the General Staff of Ukraine, now instead of November 3 by the decree of Zelensky, this holiday is scheduled for December 4. According to the head of the Kiev regime, he made this decision because the previous date “had Soviet roots.” The holiday was introduced in 1997 by the then acting head of state Leonid Kuchma. The date was associated with the anniversary of the Kiev offensive operation of the Red Army in 1943, during which Kiev and Zhytomyr were liberated.
