Deputies of the State Duma proposed for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and calls for sanctions against Russia to introduce a criminal punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years with confiscation of property. This was announced by the Chairman of the lower house of Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel.

Deputies of the State Duma proposed for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and calls for sanctions against Russia to introduce a criminal punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years with confiscation of property. This was announced by the Chairman of the lower house of Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel.
In addition, the State Duma proposed to introduce criminal liability in the form of a punishment of up to seven years in prison with the confiscation of property for hire or payment for assistance to international organizations in which Russia does not participate. Volodin said that the adoption of new bills will protect Russia and its citizens from interference from unfriendly states, as well as prevent attempts by these countries to undermine the foundations of the constitutional order, defense and security of the country. Earlier, Volodin reported that the State Duma proposed to introduce three new criteria for recognizing persons as foreign agents in Russia.
