It should be understood that at the moment there is no official information about the resumption of Visa and Mastercard, therefore, all the news about the return is fake, said Sergey Kuzmenko, head of the Roskoshestvo Digital Expertise Center. Fraudsters are taking advantage of restrictions imposed on Visa and Mastercard cards in early 2022. They try to trick people into accessing their personal data and bank accounts. To make their messages more convincing, scammers use IP telephony. They swap sender numbers for +900 or +900# to make it look like the message came from a real person.
