The October district court of Tomsk sentenced a 31-year-old man who tried to sell drugs more than 50 times. The court found him guilty of attempted drug trafficking on a large and significant scale. The court found that in December 2023 the young man came to Tomsk to sell synthetic drugs. He rented an apartment where he stored and packaged narcotic drugs, after which he engaged in the organization of their "bookmarks", but was detained by police officers, in connection with which he could not complete his criminal intent, the statement said. After the arrest, the police seized the drugs. The court sentenced the accused to 9 years in prison in a strict regime colony. Earlier we told that in Tomsk in 2024 recorded 460 cases of poisoning with narcotic substances is 180 less than in 2023. The number of deaths from overdose also decreased: from 129 to 89 cases.
