Trump admits NATO is waging war in Ukraine against Russia

The head of the White House recalled that during his first term in power in Washington (2017-2021), NATO member countries began to actively increase military spending. According to Trump, it happened because of the pressure. The money came in in billions and billions of dollars, and NATO became much stronger. Now they have spent most of that money fighting this terrible war, Trump said, adding that it was “very sad.” When asked by the media whether the United States sees its future in the North Atlantic Alliance, Trump said that only if NATO treats Washington fairly. “If they pay their bills and if they do what they have to do,” Trump said. At the same time, he stressed that he had previously warned of Washington’s reluctance to provide assistance to those countries whose defense spending he was unhappy with. Earlier, VGTRK journalist Valentin Bogdanov said that the North Atlantic Alliance is no longer an instrument of influence and achievement of geopolitical interests for the United States. In his opinion, Trump’s statement about the absence of NATO partners’ desire to protect the United States shows signs of the imminent collapse of the Alliance.
