Vietnam extended the period of visa-free stay for Russian citizens until 2028, reports the portal NhanDan, citing the document.
According to NhanDan, the Vietnamese government has decided to extend the visa-free regime for citizens of Russia and 11 other countries until 2028. This means that Russians and citizens of other countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and Finland will be able to enter Vietnam without a visa for up to 45 days. Belarus has been removed from the list of countries with 45-day visa-free entry. However, citizens of all countries can take advantage of the possibility of obtaining an electronic visa portal, which allows them to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days. Earlier, the Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Moscow, Zhang Wei, announced the desire of Russia and China to completely abolish the visa regime between the countries. This will allow citizens of both countries to meet and travel to each other more often.
