Vilfand: Northern European Russia will be warmer than southern Europe

It is noted that in the north of the European part of the Russian Federation begins a significant increase in temperature. We are talking about Karelia, Komi, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Arkhangelsk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Murmansk and Pskov regions. In St. Petersburg, starting from Monday, February 24, the temperature will be 4-5 degrees higher than in Moscow. According to the expert, in the south of European Russia until the end of February, the temperature will be 7-8 degrees below normal. So, in the Stavropol region, frosts up to minus 20 degrees are expected, in the Krasnodar Territory - up to minus 18. And in Salekhard night and day temperatures will be higher than in the republics of the North Caucasus, in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions. Forecaster added that on February 22-23 on the Black Sea coast in the Kuban is expected to increase the wind to 30-34 meters per second.
