📝 Summary

Polling stations for the second round of the presidential election opened in Abkhazia. 134,000 people were included in the voter lists. They can vote at 152 polling stations in the republic and two in Russia – in Moscow and Cherkessk.

Polling stations work from 8.00 to 20.00, reminds TASS. In the second round, the winner will be the candidate who received the majority of votes, provided that it exceeds the amount of votes cast for his competitor and against all candidates. If the president is not selected from two candidates in the second round, the CEC of Abkhazia will set a date for the re-election. Citizens of Abkhazia on March 1, will have to choose between the winner of the first round Badra Gunba and the opposition Adgur Ardzinba. Gunba in the first round on February 15 won 46.38% of the vote, and for Ardzinba voted 36.92% of voters. At the same time, elections are recognized as held if at least 25% of citizens included in the electoral lists took part in them. “Voting in Moscow takes place on the street Shabolovka, 36, in the building of the 164th library,” – said the Chairman of the precinct election (extraterritorial) Commission in Moscow Beslan Kobakhia. Travel to the polling station is difficult due to the closure of the Kaluga-Riga metro line from Oktyabrskaya station to Novye Cheremushki station. To travel between these metro stations in Moscow, a temporary compensation bus route "KM" is organized. And citizens of Abkhazia who wish to vote in Moscow can use shuttle buses from the Oktyabrskaya and New Cheremushki metro stations. In Cherkessk, the polling station was opened in the city Palace of Culture on 2B Gutyakulova Street.
