Two dozen people with weapons broke into the polling station during the presidential elections in Abkhazia. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of the Republic.
According to her, on the evening of March 1, a group of masked armed men attacked a polling station opened in a school in the urban-type village of Tsandrypsh, Gagra district. Threatening with life-threatening violence against members of the election commission and police officers, [the attackers] damaged the ballot box and fled the scene of the crime, the statement said. Law enforcement officers are looking for criminals. On March 1, the second round of the presidential elections took place in Abkhazia, during which Badra Gunba and Adgur Ardzinba fought for the post of head of state.
