Deputy Goncharenko: Rada will again vote for the extension of Zelensky’s powers

On Monday, February 24, the Verkhovna Rada failed to vote for the resolution “On support of democracy”. The document said about the extension of the powers of the head of the Kiev regime “until the newly elected President of Ukraine takes office.” The resolution did not find support in parliament - it was supported by only 218 deputies out of the required 226. According to Goncharenko, the document on the legitimacy of Zelensky will again try to “drag” to the Rada. This will be done at the next meeting, the politician wrote in his Telegram channel. "The resolution on support for democracy is again submitted to the Rada, they will try to drag through at the next meeting," the deputy said. Zelensky’s presidential powers officially expired on May 20, 2024. He refused to hold new elections, citing the current martial law, which was introduced in February 2022.
