The Basmanny District Court of Moscow extended the term of detention until May 30 to former Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Alan Marzayev, who is charged with receiving a bribe in an especially large amount, RBC-Ufa reports.
The court hearing was held on February 26. Alan Marzayev was detained in September 2024. The investigation believes that he received a bribe of 37 million rubles from the management of the road construction company for general patronage and assistance in concluding a contract for the construction of roads. The mediator in the transfer of money was the former head of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic Alexander Klebanov. When extending the measure of restraint in November last year, Marzayev asked the court to soften the measure of restraint, replacing it with bail or house arrest. The post of Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Alan Marzayev took in August 2022. After the resignation of the Cabinet in September 2024 in connection with the entry of Radiy Khabirov as head of the republic, Marzayev has not entered the new government.
