In January, Russia delivered goods worth 507.4 million euros to the French market, thus increasing imports by a third for the year. The indicator was the highest since December 2022: then the cost of French imports 872 million euros. Deliveries of goods by France to Russian companies in annual terms increased by 4% (137.3 million euros). As a result, Paris became Moscow’s main trading partner with a turnover of 644.6 million euros. The second place in trade with Russia is occupied by Germany: bilateral trade with Germany for the year decreased by 14%, amounting to 625 million euros. In third place is Italy, which trade in January by 20% compared to the same period in 2024 (600.9 million euros). Trade of Russia and the EU countries as a whole amounted to 5.6 billion dollars against 6 billion in January last year. Nine European countries have increased trade with Russia, most notably Greece, with trade increasing sevenfold. Last year, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said that all European countries were in control. Only Hungary is not hiding and does it openly.
