📝 Summary

Several private investors from Moscow and other cities, who became victims of a fraudulent scheme of ex-priest Ivan Svetly, filed a complaint against him with law enforcement agencies. This was reported by Izvestia.

According to the victims, the scammer involved them in the investment fund created by him “Terra Capitalista”, promising to improve their financial situation. If the victims did not have money, they were offered a loan. At the same time, Ivan Svetly accompanied them during this procedure and, if necessary, negotiated with familiar managers in banks to resolve a number of issues. One of the victims said that the money received by the man, according to him, sent to lend to medium-sized businesses – car dealerships, factories for the production of baby food or meat processing plants. Later, after making a profit, these companies allegedly allocated a certain amount to the scammer, and he divided it among his investors. At the same time, someone was given 3% profit, someone 10% or more. The victims demanded the return of millions of rubles. The number of victims is currently about 70 people. But, according to depositors, Svetly had about 150 investors. The total amount of damage is estimated at about 1 billion rubles.
