The conference program was opened by a session with the participation of the Russian senator and three-time Olympic champion Alexander Karelin. It was dedicated to a historical perspective on the future of sport. In honor of the forum, a magnolia was planted in the Riviera Park. The environmental action was attended by RIOU Rector Lev Belousov and Honorary President of the International Ice Hockey Federation René Fazel. 10 years ago, Rene Fasel participated in a similar event at the resort. “For me it was a real gift and a great honor, because old, very symbolic trees were planted on this clearing. It’s nice to see my tree getting taller every year, he said. Participants will also discuss sports projects and their social impact. The results of the conference they will sum up at the resort on February 22.
