The price of the domestic generic drug Eculizumab for a rare blood disease has been reduced by 25%. This was reported by FAS (Federal Antimonopoly Service) of Russia.
This remedy is used to treat orphan blood disease, which is called paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNG). According to the FAS, the price per bottle of 30 ml of concentrate for the preparation of a solution for droppers at a dosage of 10 mg / ml is 25% lower than the cost of the same package of the first Russian generic "Elizaria". It is noted that in medical organizations, the drug should be provided free of charge under the state program. In addition, lower prices will increase the availability and expand the choice of such drugs for citizens.
