📝 Summary

Serbia withdrew its support for the anti-Russian resolution in the UN on Ukraine, said the Minister of foreign Affairs of the country Marco Djuric.

He said this in an interview with NIN magazine. “The mission of Serbia to the UN changed its decision to abstain from the UN Secretariat, and this put an end to this issue,” he said. Djuric added that all responsibility for voting on the resolution rests primarily with him, stressing that the principle of territorial integrity and sovereignty of recognized states is the highest priority for Serbia's position in the UN. The resolution adopted on February 24 by 93 countries demands the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and the cessation of hostilities, without mentioning Kiev’s aggression and the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. Chairman of the Commission of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation on sovereignty Vladimir Rogov earlier described the anti-Russian resolution of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine as a shameful document that incites conflict. Earlier, the UN Security Council approved the proposed US resolution on Ukraine without amendments.
